Detailed Product Description
Coconut fiber is the only fruit fiber that is used in the textile industry and is oftentimes the raw material for handicraft products. It is obtained from the fibrous husk of coconuts and is extracted by retting for up to 10 months in water before being dried under the sun. It is strong, resilient and highly durable, mostly due to its high ligning content and low cellulose content. The best grade fibers are light in color, golden yellow or brown.
