The Production Line of Sponge Iron (DRI) using Iron Ore Fines and Coal Fines using Tunnel Kiln is the latest way, (though the Oldest one 1905) but becoming popular these days, because of the advantages it has over the Rotary Kiln, which is as follows:

1) Low Project Cost

2) Low Maintenace

3) Longer Kiln time as no accretion, so no shut-down process.

4) Low Labour requirement

5) High metallization

6) Utilization of Iron Ore Fines directly, with any processing (except beneficiation for better results)

7) Low land requirement

8) Easy Operation, no highly technical team is required.

9) Higher Shelf life, as the Bulk density is High (>4.5 gm/cc) so no reaction with water resulting in no backward reaction (as in the case of Sponge Iron from Rotary Kiln)

We have the Plant Modules of 100 TPD/ 150 TPD Kilns and multiple units can give 100/150/200/300/450 TPD UNITS. The CBI Unit is optional.

Looking to the requirement we can design and module as the Ore Chemistry and Coal Chemistry, the output grade of DRI will be 92-95% Metallization, that is metal recovery will be about 88%-92%.
