Detailed Product Description
SAFE EARTHING ELECTRODE IS FOR PREVENTION AND SAFETY FROM SHOCK CURRENT, LIGHTNING CURRENT, SURGE CURRENT, FAULT CURRENT, RESIDUAL CURRENT PROTECTION FOR MEN AND MACHINE IN ALL SECTORS WHERE EVER ELECTRICITY IS USED
Safe Earthing Electrode is the product of a unique blend of pipe-in-pipe technology, passion and drive.
The electrode is manufactured from mild steel tubes and hot dip galvanized, to ensure maximum conductivity and prolonged service life.
The product is tested by independent testing laboratories like Central Power Research Institute (CPRI), Bangalore, Central Electrical testing Laboratory (CETL), Kakkalur and the CEIG, Chennai and Trivandrum and IIT Chennai.
Standard : IS: 3043 - 1987. - Ashlok Safe Earthing Electrode designed in keeping with Indian and international standards.
ISO Certification : ISO 9001:2000 Certified Company.
Indian Patent : Accepted
The Pipe-in-Pipe Technology concept involves two 'B' class mild steel pipes one inserted inside the other. Both the pipes are subjected to hot dip galvanization: 70 - 100 micron on the outer electrode and 200 - 250 microns inside the electrodes. The empty space inside the electrodes is tightly filled with a specially developed Crystalline Conductive Mixture and then sealed.
For uniform distribution of fault current an earthing electrode must be cylindrical in shape. The surface being circular the distance from the centre to any point is always equal. This facilitates uniform distribution of fault current from electrode to earth.
The current density is highest in soil within a few feet of the electrode surface. The density should be as low as possible in the medium adjacent to the electrode which should be such as to cause the current density to decrease rapidly within a distance from the electrode. Thus a pipe electrode has a much lower resistance than a plate of equal surface area.
