Detailed Product Description
These stoles are handwoven by traditional weavers from bengal who has been engaged in this craft for centuries. This is a silk stole and has got a light texture due to the use of mutka silk a handspun indian silk yarn. This is a supplementary weft technique in which the geometric motif has been made on the loom by hand by individally inserting a supplementary weft in each pick. Each stole takes 5-6 days to make. The aim of our organisation is to promote the hand weavers and generate livelihood for these artisans so that they have a respectable income in their trade and are not forced to switchover to other unskilled professions.
These stoles are each uniquely designed according to euorpean forecasts and are contemporary in their look.
These stoles can also be purchased in India at New Delhi on prior appointment basis. We have a repertoire of around 150 designs which can be shared if contacted by genuine buyers.
