Detailed Product Description
A heavy plate turnover system is an inspection unit for checking the surface of the plates. The plates can be turned in both directions. The plates of various thicknesses (25 mm to 400 mm) are always taken up at the base of the angle of take-up. This prevents any slipping of the plates. The turnover capacity is 130 t which represents two plates of a maximum 60 t. The plates are between 1300 and 5400 mm wide and between 3000 and 26000 mm long.
Working process of slab tilting machine
The slab is placed by the overhead crane on loading and unloading stations. Each loading and unloading stations is designed to take one slab. The cross transfer system takes the slab from the loading station to the slab weighing device and then to the grinding table.
When the slab has been grounded it is inspected. A cross transfer system takes the slabs to a joint slab tilting device. The slab is then tilted around its lengthwise axis for inspection. This process is again repeated for the side of the slab which still has to be inspected.
On completion of inspection of the slab it is again weighed and placed on the loading and unloading station. And then it is removed by the overhead crane.
